Lessons

The lesson on September 23, 2018 was part 11 of the “Practical Lessons and Right Division” study.  This week’s focus was on Ephesians 6 and the whole armor of God.  Wayne majored on verse 16 which covers the Shield of Faith because of how important it is to quench the fiery darts of wicked.  Is it any wonder since PAul tells us that we are a showcase to Principalities and Powers in Heavely Places demonstrating the manifold wisdom of God.  We are not alone in God’s plan and he is addressing spiritual wickedness in high places with the church where Christ is the head.  The remaining time is spent studying Angels and how they participated in the God’s plan.  We learn of their attributes and where they may exist in another realm or dimension but can exist in our universe and take on the form of a man so humans are unaware of what they really are.  The scripture reading was from 1 Peter 1:10-13 KJV

“10 Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”
