Lessons

The lesson on July 15, 2018 was part 2 of the “Practical Lessons and Right Division” study.  Wayne reviewed what we studied last week which was the motivation behind this study that comes from Ephesians 4:1 where PAul says “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called”.  By studying the Greek, we learned that this verse has the word calling three times.  A practical walk that is worthy must be one that is based on a calling.  A calling is associated with a walk which will have a common component that all christians will share but yet have some distinctive aspects to it.  PAul had revealed a sacred secret called The Mystery that has very particular distinctives that we are learning in this study.  Today, Wayne focused on Ephesians 3:10 “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,” identifying the intent behind this calling.  We then looked at Genesis to understand The Lie that Satan started when he deceived Eve to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  God cares to show his multi-dimensional wisdom to these principalities and powers who may have been a part of the rebellion Lucifer led to become Satan.  The scripture reading was from Ephesians 3:9-11 KJV

“9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:”
