The lesson on May 8, 2016 was part 20 of “The Apocalypse” study.  Wayne reviewed the previous lesson but moved on to the subject for this lesson which was a place of preservation for Israel for three and a half years during the Tribulation.  The temple was given as a type in the Naos portion which was the holy part of the Temple.  We learned of the 144,000 male Jews preserved and sealed during this time in several passages in scripture:  “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almight” Psalms 91: 1 KJV; “…to enquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock” Psalms 27: 4, 5 KJV: “Thou shalt hide them in the secret of Thy presence from the pride of man: Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues”  Psalms 31: 20 KJV.  The latter part of the lesson looked at the Two Witness and the controversy surrounding who the may be.  The scripture reading was in Zechariah 4:1-6 KJV

“1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, 2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”
