Leland Maples runs the LOOP’s Ministries (Loved Ones Of Prisoners) and leads a Thursday night bible study held in the Rec Room at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa Texas.  The Rec Room message on Thursday, October 14th, 2010 was entitled “Training Rowdy”.  It was taught by a guest speaker named Mark Jones, who is a General Manager of Onda-Lay Pipe in Midland, Texas.  Special music was by Cathy Tomason.  Mark gives us a great analogy about dog training and discipleship.  “Rowdy” won the prestigious HRCH Award (Hunting Retriever Champion) in a very short time, especially unique in that he was trained by an amateur trainer.  This is a tremendous lesson on our trust and faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
