What Is Your Purpose in Life? To begin the New Year, Derek McCammon presents a very practical lesson regarding the true purpose of each Christian’s life on January 1st. Revelation 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: For thou hast created all things, and for they pleasure they are and were created.” Using the examples of Moses and Abraham, Derek teaches by using Old Testament examples showing God is more interested in timing than in time. God inhabits eternity. The living God and Creator of all things cares about every detail that touches our lives. He explains how we are to be transformed into the image of His Son. We are encouraged to wait on the Lord and his timing, as we are to enjoy all things. We are reminded that we may be persecuted as we hold to the truth of the living God; persecuted but never forsaken. This lesson encourages the Christian to enjoy the blessings of love, liberty and life. It also encourages us not to major in the minors. We are encouraged to live our lives to bring glory and honor to God.
