Ephesians - Part 11

Ephesians - Part 11

The lesson on December 29, 2013 was part 11 of the "Ephesians" study.  As usual, a review of previous lessons started this lesson reviewing the great truths discovered in chapter two.  One of those themes was the distance the Gentiles had from God which is now abolished.  Israel had the preferred status.  In Ephesians, that now is gone because the middle wall of partition was abolished in Christ.  This lesson starts chapter three and teaches the revelation that PAul the prisoner is revealing the mystery which is different from the mystery of Christ.  This doctrine is sent specifically to...

Ephesians - Part 12

Ephesians - Part 12

The lesson on January 5, 2014 was part 12 of the "Ephesians" study.  The lesson covered chapter 3 through verse 9.  The lesson started with a review of previous truths learned from previous lessons.  Topic like "time" was discussed in that there is prophetic time in the bible associated with Israel.  When they are disobedient and were in servitude, the prophetic clock would stop while regular time was still running.  The prophetic clock has stopped now because at Acts 28:28, Israel was divorced.  There will be a time when God deals with Israel again and the prophetic clock with start again...

Ephesians - Part 13

Ephesians - Part 13

The lesson on January 12, 2014 was part 13 of the "Ephesians" study and continued in chapter three.  The lesson started with a review of the Mystery of Christ being different from The Mystery being revealed in chapter 3 for the first time.  The mystery of Christ is something that was traceable in the Old Testament with prophecies all the way up to the New Testament scriptures.  The Mystery revealed in Ephesians 3:9 was not searchable in the scriptures but hidden in God before the foundation of the world.  This lesson went into detail studying the word "gospel" in Ephesians so we may...

Ephesians - Part 14

Ephesians - Part 14

The lesson on January 19, 2014 was part 14 of the "Ephesians" study. The series continues on in chapter four looking specifically at the "Grace" that PAul is proclaiming to the Gentiles.  Specifically the joint-heir ship, the same body and the joint partakers by the gospel.  The gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ is a gospel that is not preached today.  It should be!  The ministry that goes on with this body is a testimony to principalities and powers in heavenly places expressing the manifold wisdom of God. The scripture reading was in Ephesians 4: 11-16 KJV "11 And he gave some...

Ephesians - Part 15

Ephesians - Part 15

The lesson on January 26, 2014 was part 15 of the "Ephesians" study.  This lesson started looking directly at verses 7 thru 10 in chapter three and really focused on the fact that PAul is providing us an amazing gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ.  This is different from the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.  This gospel was given to PAul by the effectual working of His power (the same power of the out-resurrection).  In verse 8 it shows a beautiful demonstration of grace... and moves to verse 9 where PAul is commissioned to make a men see what is the...

Ephesians - Part 16

Ephesians - Part 16

The lesson on February 9, 2014 was part 16 of the "Ephesians" study.  The lesson started with a review of previous material and looked at chapter 3, verse 9 in the context of fellowship.  The best way to look at fellowship is to look at all the words which comes from the translation of Greek word "κοινωνία".  Communion, contribution, distribution, communication and fellowship are come from this Greek word.  If you are not in fellowship with common causes, you will not be able to contribute in building something together.  PAul is the one that is teaching the unsearchable riches of Christ...

Ephesians - Part 17

Ephesians - Part 17

The lesson on February 23, 2014 continued the "Ephesians" study with part 17. As usual, a review of previous truths taught from the previous lessons but the focus with this lesson was on Ephesians 4.  Chapter 4 starts with PAul sayiing that we should be worthy of the calling by which we have been called.  The Greek word for calling is used to describe adoption and learn that there are three separate adoptions with three separate callings.  The first was the calling is associated the land grant promised to Abraham and his seed.  This adoption is for Israel.  The second calling was for New...

Ephesians - Part 18

Ephesians - Part 18

The lesson on March 9, 2014 was part 18 of the "Ephesians" study and continued in chapter four and is looking at the unity of the spirit.  The lesson reviews the logic that PAul is presenting to us in regards to his calling which we are asked to walk along side PAul in this high calling which we are called to join. We learn of the differences of the body spoken about in 1 Corinthians and Ephesians.  The body of believers in Acts, spoken of in 1 Corinthians has within it healings and gifts whereas the body in Ephesians does not have signs and wonders.  PAul tells us in Ephesians that there...

Ephesians - Part 19

Ephesians - Part 19

The lesson on March 16, 2014 was part 19 of the "Ephesians" study.  Chapter four is where this lesson resides looking at the logic that PAul is suggesting we follow in that in verse 1.  He is beseeching us that we come along side him to walk worthy with the calling that we have received.  We find that we have been given our measure of grace that we should use to be part of the ministry.  Every christian has his or her own measure that we should use to help keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  We are called into a ministry of adjustment to help christians see this unique...

Ephesians - Part 20

Ephesians - Part 20

The lesson on March 23, 2014 was part 20 of the "Ephesians" study.  The study continues in chapter 4 we are in the section that begins the practical section of the book.  We are challenged to endeavor to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.  These truths have been lost over time because this unity has not been kept because there are many examples of those who practice truths that are biblical but are not rightly divided.  We have a measure of grace given to us that we should use to guard this unity of the spirit.  We learn the context of verse 8 indicating that the text...
