Four Days in Scripture

Derek McCammonThis study looks at the four days in scripture that involves prophecy and judgment.  The current day that we are in is called Man's Day and it is a period governed by grace.  The next three days to come are the Day of Christ, Day of the Lord, and the Day of God.  It's important to understand these days and who they involve and why there is judgement involved.  This study will help you learn about these days using the principles of Right Division.  There is a chart on these days in the Chart Room that should help you learn about each day.

Lessons

The lesson on November 24, 2012 was part 11 of the "Four Days in Scripture" study and it continued to look at the Day of Christ.  It is important to see the distinction between the Day of Christ and the Day of the Lord and this lesson looks at the detail surrounding the events of the Day of Christ and the scripture that shows the distinction.  Reference was made to the book Coming of Elijah and the study that was recorded in that publication showing how Elijah is crucial in restoring Isreal so that the events of the Day of Christ are fulfilled before the Day of the Lord. This lesson looked at the 70 weeks of Daniel 9. The scripture reading was in Daniel 9:24-27 KJV

The lesson on December 2, 2012 continued the "Four Days in Scripture" study with part 12 and was closing on the Day of Christ.  It started to look at the "rapture" theories of Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, and Post-Trib and finished the 70 weeks of Daniel 9.  This is a great lesson to listen to for understanding prophecy rightly divided.  The scripture reading was from Micah 4:1-5 KJV "1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

The lesson on December 9, 2012 continued the "Four Days in Scripture" study with part 13 and began looking at the Day of the Lord.  It provided a wrap up of the Day of Christ and began to look at the three "rapture" positions of when it may occur (Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, and Post-Trib).  The scripture reading was in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-9 KJV "1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,"

The lesson on January 13, 2013 was part 14 of the "Four Days in Scripture" study and continued to look at the Day of the Lord.  The scripture reading was from 2 Peter 3:10-11 KJV "10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,"

The lesson on January 20, 2013 was part 15 of the "Four Days in Scripture" study and finished looking at the Day of the Lord.  The scripture reading was in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 KJV "1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
