The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 1

The lesson on January 8, 2017 was part 1 of "The U, V and W of Right Division" study.  This introductory lesson explains how we will take a deeper look into right division by comparing it the covenant theology.  We learn how important it is to realize your calling in scrpture and we learn that the calling we have today is a high calling compared to the calling that the nation of Israel received. We will look at the criticisms of right division.  This study will be bible centric and used to study denominations to see what they believe. Today's lesson looked at the calling that Israel had in...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 2

The lesson on January 15, 2017 was part 2 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  This lesson looks at the beliefs of Preterism in relation to AD 70 and the nation of Israel. Preterism holds that Ancient Israel finds its continuation or fulfillment in the Christian church at the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70.  It is so important that you keep scripture in its proper context.  That is why we follow right division to understand what doctrine being taught is truth for those who it was written to. In this lesson, Wayne builds the case against Preterism and explains why it is an incorrect...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 3

The lesson on January 22, 2017 was part 3 of "The U, V and W of Right Division" study.  This lesson continued to look at the Preterism perspective on scripture and fulfillment of prophecy in AD 70.  The core belief that refutes the Preterist position is the revelation of The Mystery that the Apostle PAul revealed after Acts 28 in Ephesians. The scripture reading was from 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 KJV

"15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 4

The lesson on January 29, 2017 was part 4 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  This week Wayne moved into looking at the mysteries found in scripture.  In studying the Greek word "mystērion" there 27 passages in the scriptures that use this word.  Wayne intends to look at all twenty seven passages but only covers two in this lesson.  Before we looked at these mysteries, he took time to study the eytmology of the word and how it includes the idea of initiation and having closed eyes which is from the Greek word "Muw".  There are some words today that still come from it like "...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 5

The lesson on February 5, 2017 was part 5 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  This weeks lesson finished studying the mystery found in Romans 16:25 and we learned how it is not The Mystery of Ephesians 3:9 and Colossians 1:25.  In Romans 16, we find connections to a mystery identified by reading Habakkuk 2 and Romans 3.  Then Wayne continues to look at the mysteries in scripture by studying the one found in 1 Corinthians 2:7.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 2:1-10 KJV

"1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 6

The lesson on February 12, 2017 was part 6 of "The U, V and W of Right Division". This week Wayne reviewed the mysteries we covered so far, including the most difficult one to understand from Romans 16:25.  The mystery mentioned here is not the same that is revealed to the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:9 because we learned that mystery was hidden in age times connecting to Romans chapter 1. We learned that God opens things up to those that are initiated.  There is a dynamic of your personal study in scripture combined with God's work of opening up truths to you. Several other mysteries were...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 7

The lesson on February 19, 2017 was part 7 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  This weeks focus was on the Mystery of Iniquity found in 2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV.  Wayne gives us the context of Thessalonians in how that is firmly planted in the Acts period where the prospect of the second coming of Christ was at hand if Israel had repented.  This is what the Preterists are claiming that in AD 70, all prophecy was fulfilled.  The scriptures describing the change that will happen to all the Christians, even those who have died will be in an instant.  What happened with that sense of...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 8

The lesson on February 26, 2017 was part 8 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  Wayne continued to teach us about The Mystery of Iniquity that is found in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 KJV.  Today's lesson looks more into the timing of when this mystery involving the Anti-Christ being revealed will happen.  An important emphasis is place on timing since that is an important aspect of establishing context in the chronology of events especially in relation to the context of pre-Acts 28:28 with the hope of Israel.  The Preterist try to claim that all prophecy was fulfilled in AD 70 but the...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 9

The lesson on March 5, 2017 was part 9 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  This lesson continued to look a the mysteries in the bible and provided a recap of the mystery of iniquity but eventually got to the mysteries found in Revelation (this has been a mini-series looking where ever the word mystery appears in scripture).  Wayne points out on the white board where the word appears in the the books are in relation to the Acts 28 boundary in that they are revealed in the context of Israels calling.  Revelation mysteries are in context of the book of Acts because God gave them a...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 10

The lesson on March 26, 2017 was part 10 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  In part 10, Wayne is continuing the studies of the Mysteries found in scripture.  This week he studies the Mystery of God an how it relates to Christ being manifested all through the Old Testament.  The Mystery of Christ is also studied in relation to the Mystery of God.  We then look at Israel and how Moses brought them out of Egypt to the Mount Sinai where he communicated with God.  We compared the movement of Moses up and down the holy mountain and the behavior of Israel in relation to the promised land,...
