Your Calling

Your Calling

This study consists of two "compound" lessons that were extended into multiple lessons due to the vast amount of material that pertained to understand your calling.  They were started on August 3, 2014 and the emphasis on these two lessons "The Others" and "Ye See Your Calling" was to help the christian see that they have been called into a special calling that was hidden before the foundation of the world and revealed after Acts 28 when judgement came upon Israel and God revealed this sacred secret.  It has been said the christian must first believe upon Christ as your personal savior, then you must believe upon your calling.  The Apostle PAul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus was praying that christians might be given a spirit of wisdom and knowledge so they may see what is the hope of their calling.  These lessons help you understand what that calling is... the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV "17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,"

The lesson on August 17, 2014 was part 1 of "Ye See Your Calling" and continued the studies on understanding what has been sent to you in scripture under the Gospel of the Unsearchable Riches of Christ. The title of this lesson came from 1 Corinthians 1:26 KJV.  There are so many in modern christiandom that are calling you to their ministry.  How do you see your calling?  PAul says in Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV " That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,"  The scripture reading was in 2 Thesalonians 1:7-12 KJV

Your Calling - Part 2

The lesson on August 24, 2014 was part 2 of "Ye See Your Calling" lesson.  This continues from part 1 looking at the calling PAul the prisoner revealed to the Gentiles after Acts 28 and how it is a calling you have to believe after you become saved.  First you must believe on Christ as your Lord and Savior to have you sins forgiven and receive eternal life.  Secondly, you must believe the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ and see your calling in the mystery, as PAul calls it in Ephesians 3:9 and Colossians 1:25,26.  That is why PAul says in 2 Timothy 1:8-11 KJV 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles."  The scripture reading was in Matthew 21:42, 43 KJV

The lesson on August 31, 2014 was part 3 of the "Ye See Your Calling" study.  This lesson continued the focus on the christian to recognize he has a second belief he must accept into the gospel of the uncircumcision of Christ.  This second belief comes to the christian who pursues their calling in the church today.  The scripture reading was in 2 Timothy 4:1-8 KJV "1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all lo
