Genesis - Part 31

The lesson on November 3, 2019 was part 31 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne took us back today to reemphasize why Right Division is so important when we are studying scripture.  In Genesis, the doctrine we learn of being a "keeper" is reflected in the sin that Cain had before he murdered Abel.  Can was a tiller of the ground which meant he had the responsibility to be his brothers keeper which is what he responded to God with after he had killed Abel and received the curse that God put on him.  We too as Christians have the responsibility of reading scripture and understanding doctrine that...

Genesis - Part 19

The lesson on August 11, 2019 was part 19 of the "Genesis" study.  Pastor Wayne returned from his holiday after visiting Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and then Barcelona, Spain.  He shared how they visited Christ the Redeemer statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  It was crowded and difficult to get a good picture.  It is unfortunate that Brazio is a crime ridden country and they were warned to watch their bags carefully while they toured Rio.  The second leg of their holiday took them to Barcelona.  Wayne was excited to research the Apostile Paul's undocumented missionary journey...

Genesis - Part 43

The lesson on February 16, 2020 was part 43 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne continued to focus on studying the days of Noe in relation to the coming of Jesus Christ as described in Matthew 24:37 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.".  This week we identify the separate hopes of the callings before and after when The Mystery was given.  Prior to the revelation given to Paul, the hope was on the coming of Jesus Christ.  Afterwards when the Mystery had been given, it changed to His appearing.  We walk through the scriptures that highlight the difference...

Genesis - Part 33

The lesson on November 17, 2019 was part 33 of the "Genesis" study.  The culmination of this lesson introduces the "Pleromoa" but before we got there Wayne reviewed what we had previously learned about how important Right Division of scripture is when studying because you will be in danger of receiving doctrine out of context.  We had previously looked at the lineage of Cain and Seth and found their posterity with people sharing the same name.  They are separate people.  We looked at the word "Church" and identified at least three churches mentioned in scripture that all had different...

Genesis - Part 23
The lesson on September 8, 2019 was part 23 of the "Genesis" study.  This weeks lesson in Genesis Wayne teaches us that the personage of Satan or the Devil is real.  It is not an analogy of the old nature of man as some teach.  The Devil had huge power as shown in Matthew 4:8-9 when he appeared to Jesus and "showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor" and said in verse 9 "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me".  You cannot say that Jesus was only dealing with his old nature.  Wayne provided us the context of how the Devil and his Demons...

Genesis - Part 34

The lesson on November 24, 2019 was part 34 of the "Genesis" study.  Being that is the week of Thanksgiving in America, Wayne started his lesson with a commentary on the founders of this country, having traveled so far in a ship that could be considered a dingy by today's standards.  These founding fathers suffered the harsh winter in this new land where half of them perished.  Why?  They had a hope that served as their motivation.  In the end, the US Constitution was created as the supreme law of the land that expressed their hope in a new republic.  Wayne also shared he received good...

Genesis - Part 24

The lesson on September 15, 2019 was part 24 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne continued the focus on the Devil and his Angels (Demons) and pursued the question of how they can influence us today in our calling (the Mystery). In this review, Wayne recaps the power that the Devil has in tempting Jesus, and how he has a place reserved in heaven where he accuses the brethren daily (e.g. Job) but in the main focus on today's lesson was to look at what we learned in our Acts 29 study.  We learned that those were possessed with a demon could be helped by the power of prayer and fasting.  Gifts...

Genesis - Part 36

The lesson on December 15, 2019 was part 36 of the "Genesis" study.  In today's lesson, Wayne continues to provide clarity on the three spheres of blessings but took time to analyze the four deportations of Israel.  This was a little detour from Genesis but is in response to some questions Wayne received from part 35 of Genesis around the three spheres of blessings.  Wayne took us back to end of the Old Testament CANON (Chronologically).  He took us through the four deportations: 1).2 Chronicles 33.11 – Manasseh. 2).2 Chronicles 36.6 – Jehoiakim (possibly Daniel included Dan 1.1). 3).2...

Genesis - Part 25

The lesson on September 22, 2019 was part 25 of the "Genesis" Study. In today's lesson, Wayne gave us another perspective of a serpent's attributes before the interaction with Eve.  Adam had named every beast of the field, and by naming them understood their attributes, which usually was reflected in the name Adam gave them.  The curse that God put on the serpent after the fall was that he would crawl on his belly and eat dust.  Well then, before then he must have been able to speak and move around without slithering. Perhaps he was originally rejected by Adam and the serpent thought he...

Hermeneutics-Part7

The lesson on December 27, 2020 was part 7 of the "Hermeneutics" study and the last lesson in the series. Wayne took us through a quick review of what we previously covered before he transitioned to this lesson which was on rightly dividing the Apostle Paul's ministries.  It is so important for proper interpretation of scripture to identify Paul's ministry during the Acts period with that of PAul after Acts 28 with his prison ministry.  There were seven epistles written during Acts by Paul (Hebrews, Galatians, Romans, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Corinthians) and those books contain...
