The lesson on June 1, 2014 was part 29 and the last one in the "Ephesians" study. Wayne finished the study with a challenge to all of us to be more bold in our verbal witness just like PAul did who was asking for prayer that he may be bold in his witness for the gospel of peace. This study has shown the doctrinal side and practical of Ephesians and how to identify the prison ministry of PAul. When you finally see the difference between Paul's two ministries, you have struck gold! This lesson is a great summary and this study series is complete. The scripture reading was from Ephesians 6...
Armor of God Lessons
The lesson on May 25, 2014 was part 28 of the "Ephesians" study and celebrated Memorial Day in the America by studying the whole armor of God. The lesson started with a review of Ephesians in how it was written by the Apostle PAul as a prisoner of Jesus Christ post Acts 28 when he was now authorized to preach to the Gentiles first. PAul wrote 6 chapters in Ephesians and it is perfectly balanced where the first three chapters are doctrinal truth for our age today and the last three chapters are the practical section showing us how to walk today. This lesson then covered the whole armor of...
The lesson on February 21, 2010 was the 4th lesson on the subject of fear. The source of fear is the devil and it's important to be familiar with his devices. We are told in Ephesians to beware of the wiles of the devil which is why God gave us the Armor of God. We have already received victory over the devil through calvary but he is actively trying to give us fear today to make us a casualty in our walk. In John 5:24 Jesus said in John 5:24 KJV "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into...
The lesson on March 29, 2009 covers Romans 7:15-18 and continues the Romans Study audio series with this eighth lesson. There is a warfare waging and we are right in the middle of it. The scripture reading today was a tongue twister but it shows the struggle that Paul was going through in this warfare. God has given us the solution to the battle and we find it in the bible. All we have to do is yield ourselves to the word of God and appropriate in our lives and we win the battle!
This lesson was given on June 8, 2008 on "Prayer" as part of a study on the armor of God found in Ephesians 6. The scripture reading was from Ephesians 6:10-12 "10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. "
The Warfare, Part 4. Lesson 4 of the audio series entitled “The Warfare” is a study based on Ephesians 6:10-17 which tells of a spiritual warfare that involves us by standing. This warfare involves several pieces of armor and this lesson focuses on the feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:10-15 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The Warfare, Part 3. The warfare that we are made aware of in Ephesians 6:13,14 has us standing with the armor of God. We see a reference to wrestling in Ephesians 6:12 but the primary way we participate in the warfare is to stand. This is not our fight. We are protecting ourselves with the armor of God but we are not fighting with our own might. In Ephesians 6:10 it says “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” which indicates we have a choice to make in the fight... which is to choose to rely on the Lord.
The Warfare, Part 2. The lesson on April 6, 2008 continues with the second lesson in the Warfare audio series. This series studies the spiritual warfare we face as Christians and points out that this warfare is something we should be aware of and participate in according to the scriptures. In Ephesians 6:12, the scripture tells us of a spiritual warfare and the armor of God that we have to participate in the warfare.
Colossians Study - Part 4 . The lesson on November 4, 2007 continues with the fourth lesson in Colossians. In chapter 1 we have been looking at the prayer that Paul was saying to the church at Colossae, and it has three import parts. Part one is the statement in verse 9 when he is praying that you would have a “full knowledge” (in the Greek it’s “epignosis” (ep-ig'-no-sis); which means recognition, i.e. (by implication) full discernment, acknowledgement) of the Lord’s will. Part two of this prayer is regarding our walk.
Above All, Faith. Ephesians 6:16 (KJV) says “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Paul tells us that above all, we are to use the shield of faith to stand against the wiles of the Devil. To the mature Christian, the importance of faith is most assuredly known. Yet the new creature in Christ needs to be built up in a faith that is most holy.
