After Trusting In Christ ...

If you are saved there would have been a time in your life when you trusted in the finished work of Christ on the cross at Calvary to save you from the consequence of sin. This simple act of faith marks the start of your Christian life and should not be under-rated. The preaching of the cross is of vital importance and so we must strive to present the gospel of salvation in clear and unequivocal terms.

If it ain't broke don't fix it! This applies to many practical day to day life experiences we encounter -- the lawnmower, the fridge, the car etc. On the other hand if your car is sounding like a bloated cow then you may need to take notice and do something about it!

What does it mean to be an Acts 28 site?

Simply stated, we believe the passage in Acts 28:28-31 is when the Apostle Paul declares to the Jewish leadership that the final opportunity for their acceptance of Jesus as Christ is over. From that point on the message for the plan of salvation is now authorized to be sent from the Gentiles, apart from Israel. Prior to this point in scripture, salvation was always either through or with the Jew. At this point the nation of Israel has been put on hold but will be still receive the promises and blessings made to them through Abraham in the future (when Elijah restores the revealed plan of God).

The Apocalypse - Part 33

The lesson on September 11, 2016 was part 33 of "The Apocalypse" study.  A moment was taken to honor those affected by the 9-11-2001 terrorist attack against the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon since this was the 15th anniversary of that horrific event on America.  We all acknowledge how it is a spritual warfare that was at the forefront of this attack.  The remaining lesson content was regarding context.  It is so important that we as christians understand the context of scripture as we read and try to apply what we have read to our walk.  This is especially true with the book of Revelation since it is so attached to the nation of Israel.  We must understand through right division, who it is written, for what purpose and in what context so we can apply what we read through the proper knowledge of scripture and be not confused by cults and doctrines of devils.  The scripture reading was from Zechariah 12:9-14 KJV

First Corinthians - Part 5

The lesson on October 19, 2014 was part 5 of the "First Corinthians" study and finished chapter one.   Recapping the previous week, this lesson opened up with a review of the divisions that Paul was disbanding in the promotion of the gospel of Christ, which was not baptism.  The study this week looked at the activities of the Apostle Paul and considered the thought that if Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles, suggesting that Christians speak in tongues because Paul spoke in tongues.  The problem with this logic is that the book of Acts ends and Paul then receives a new message that changes the way we should walk.  Right division of scriptures means that you must look at the progressive revelation of truth and PAul was given the last body of truth called "The Mystery" where PAul explains it was a secret God held with himself from before the foundation of the world.  No where in scripture was this body of truth hidden.  This lesson looks at the wisdom that is discussed in First Corinthians where the gospel of Christ confounds mans wisdom.  We looked at the quote that was taken from Isaiah 29 where Israel had two groups, learned and not learned.  God's word had none effect because neither group was not getting scripture but was following the precepts of men.  This is a phenomenon that is now happening in Christianity today.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 1:19-23 KJV

First Corinthians - Part 3

The lesson on October 5, 2014 was part 3 of the "First Corinthians" study.  This lesson looked at Paul trying to solve the divisions found in Corinthians where groups were claiming they were part of an apostles group.  Paul was clarifying how these groups should be unified under the message of Jesus Christ because he has the authority. Baptism was the source of confusion because those were claiming their baptism came from this apostle or another.  Paul clarified that he was glad he had not baptized many because he could not be part of the divisions.  Paul clarified that baptism was not the same as the gospel of Christ and he was sent to preach the gospel and not to baptise. The scipture reading was in 1 Corinthians 1:10-17 KJV

You show them the acts 28 boundary with patience and deliberation using all the evidence you can muster. But after all that - NO! They just will not accept the truth that is glaringly obvious to all who have come to see and appreciate the revelation of "the Mystery".

The One Way Road Map was created for Church Camp in 2003.  It was built around the scripture in 2 Timothy 3:16,17 KJV "16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."  Once saved, a Christian is on a journey and this chart has them sta
