Independence Day. The lesson on July 2, 2006 celebrates Independence Day in America which is the 230th anniversary of this country declaring independence from the British crown. The Declaration has five parts and is summarized with these last words: “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” The 56 men that signed this document did just that. There are not men of this caliber today because people have a different mindset from today’s world.
