Romans Study

Derek McCammonMany books have been written about Romans because of its importance. In the canon, Romans follows the Gospels and the Acts because it is so important that has so many great themes in it. Romans talks about the wrath of God, the Gospel of God, it talks bout Sin and Sins, and takes us back to the covenant with Abraham at Sinai, then to back to Adam. When it takes us back to Adam, it brings us forth to the one man who destroyed sin. It talks about great dispensational distinctions between Jews and Gentiles. We learn that the Jew had the advantage because they were given to oracles of God while the gentile had nothing. Then we find that Romans talks about grace in a grand way.

Has God Abandoned America?

Derek McCammonThis audio series studies this question and looks at the scriptures to determine how God sets up Nations and what has to happen when God abandons Nations. One Nation established by God is the Nation of Israel and we learn much about this question from them. In Deuteronomy 8:11-20, we read of a warning given to the nation of Israel regarding their mindset towards the Lord when things are good. If they forget that the blessing they received were from God, they will be turned away by God. As stated in Deut. 8:17, 19 “And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.” The final statement from God is in verse 20 “As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.” Be sure and review all of the lessons available on this topic.

Walk in the Lord

Derek McCammonThis series studies the responsibilities of a Christian walk and ends with the rewards that are promised for the proper walk. The series started with five interrogatories of the Christian which asked these questions: What are you doing, How are you doing, Why you are doing what you are doing, Where do I go, and When should I do what I am doing? These questions led up the the last five lessons on your Walk in the Lord. As Paul said in Colossians 3:23-24 (KJV) “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” Paul indicated he would receive his reward in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV) “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

The Warfare

Derek McCammonThis series studies the Spiritual Warfare that we battle as Christians that is discussed in Ephesians 6:10:17. Paul was warning the church at Ephesus to be cognizant of the warfare that is taking place with the devil... as he said in Eph. 6:10-12 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” In this series we will go back to the beginning with the fall of Lucifer who became Satan who started the spiritual warfare that we are a part of... whether we know it or not, and look at the warfare that has taken place throughout the ages.
